She Is Come

She Is Come

She saw we were desolate

so she made flesh a consequence of thought

She saw we were clothed in darkness

so she lit the night sky with stars

She saw we could not bear direct sunlight

so she littered the landscape with cliffs

She felt our sorrow over eons

so she made tears a release and pain a purge,

that we may be at ease, play in the

sacred and eternal gardens of our wildest dreams

She gave us the tools and with them

we crafted and altered, until we were so far from ourselves

that in yearning we called out, and

She listened. She left us to explore, but she dove back in

to lead us back home. We forgot,

but her form is eternal and sparks remembrance
